About Me

Hi! I am Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed, a pediatrician i.e. a doctor who specializes in treating children and teenagers.
Currently, I work as a Pediatric Specialist at Sadar Hospital in the city of Ranchi, India.
Born in the coal city of Dhanbad & brought up in the steel city of Durgapur, I’ve always been a man of varied interests- reading, travel, music, sports, dance, fitness, and of course medicine.

After completing school I did my MBBS from MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur (graduation batch 2012) and later completed my MD specialization in Pediatrics from RIMS, Ranchi (graduation batch 2018).
Having keen interest in the management of extremely sick children- I did my fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care from AIIMS, Raipur in 2021.

I believe that if we track the growth & health of a child regularly, there are many health issues that can be prevented. Hence tracking the growth and development parameters of my patients regularly is a vital area of interest for me.

Having had a 1-year experience of dealing with pediatric heart diseases and another year of work in a PICU- my other sub-specialties of interest are Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care.

My main goals as a pediatrician are:-

• To provide regular growth monitoring of any child who comes to me so that I can decrease the burden of child malnutrition in the country as much as I can.

• To provide the best pediatric intensive care in my city Ranchi so that the patients here do not have to be referred to a far-off hospital just due to lack of expertise.

• To divulge all my knowledge of pediatrics to my juniors and patients via blogs and videos

• To revive the doctor-patient trust in India and, to stop the growing cases of violence against doctors in the society
